Uplifting Orange – Combine peel scraps from two oranges, a sliced piece of fresh ginger that’s about four inches long, and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract in two cups of water. Use one teaspoon of ground ginger if you don’t have fresh ginger handy.
Spicy Citrus – Add one sliced orange, two sticks of cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice to two cups of water. Substitute whole cloves or allspice if you have them in your cupboards.
Summer Scents – Slice two lemons and combine them with three sprigs of fresh rosemary and one teaspoon of vanilla extract in two cups of water. You can also add 1/2 teaspoon mint extract to this recipe for a whole new scent.
