Ongoing: Farmer’s Market
The Satellite Beach Farmers Market sets up every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pelican Beach Park, 1525 Hwy A1A. Craft a meal with certified organic produce from our local farms; smell the fresh herbs and spices; buy a loaf of bread from the neighborhood baker, and shop for handmade jewelry, artwork, and nursery plants. October 30: Rocket Launch
Don’t miss this amazing sight—one of the Space Coast’s signature events! The United Launch Alliance will send an Atlas 5 rocket up on behalf of the Air Force. The rocket is bearing a navigational satellite for GPS purposes. There are free viewing areas for the public near Launch Site SLC-41 in Cape Canaveral. Call (321) 433-4470 for details.
October 31: Halloween Howl
Four-legged friends will love this festival! The Halloween Howl is one of the events and festivals in Satellite Beach Dog Park, 750 Jamaica Blvd. Support the Brevard ASAP (Aiding Shelter Animals Project). Judges will select best-dressed pets and award prizes. Donate a bag of cat or dog food to enter the raffle.
December 5: Ocean Reef Beach Festival
Pelican Beach Park is home to the 2015 ORB, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Conservation and recreation go hand-in-hand in Satellite Beach, so celebrate your ocean days and enjoy displays, games, and education! View the work of local artists, taste food truck fare, and make yourself comfortable for a live music performance. Best of all, the ORB benefits the Anglers For Conservation and the Surfrider Foundation.
December 19: Boat Parade
The Banana River Power Squadron sponsors one of the most wacky, fun events and festivals in Satellite Beach! The Holiday Boat Parade begins at 7 p.m. on the Grand Canal in Satellite Beach and travels south.
