Beach Essentials That You Should Pack Every Time

There’s nothing better than a fun-filled day on the beach with your family. From watching the waves crash into the shore to building the world’s best sandcastle, you’ll create memories that will last a lifetime. When traveling with your family, especially young children, the perfect day can turn disastrous if you don’t plan accordingly. When preparing for the beach, remember these essentials to have a relaxing experience.

Nothing will ruin your day faster than being sunburned. Make sure to pack sunscreen that’s at least SPF 30. Always keep extra sunscreen so that you can reapply throughout the day.

Bug Spray

Because beaches are usually in places that are warm and have lots of water, there will probably be mosquitos once it gets closer to the evening. Protect your family from these pests by keeping bug spray handy or bringing a citronella candle.

Running and swimming in the sun will wear your family out quickly. Make sure to pack snacks like trail mix, granola bars, and veggies to keep your energy levels high. You should pack your food in Ziploc bags to prevent sand from getting on them.

Bring large water bottles to reduce how much trash you have to throw away when you leave. When filling up your jugs before leaving home, add lots of ice. It will melt throughout the day and keep your water nice and cold.

Extra Beach Towels

It’s a good idea to bring two towels per person. That way, everybody will have one for lying on the sand and one for drying off. There’s nothing worse than tanning on a damp, sandy towel.
